About Me
I'm Emily - a trauma-informed somatic therapist, embodiment guide, and space-holder for those ready to return to the wisdom of their bodies. I work with all ages, from teens, young people and adults.
I support people who feel disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by the pace of life, or unsure how to come down from survival mode. My work is grounded in the belief that healing doesn't happen by talking alone, it happens when we learn to feel safe inside our own skin again and have room to meet the parts of us that we have long ignored.
I began this work through necessity, after my own experience of grief and early loss. I learned to get through life by dissociating and pushing down feelings, not knowing there was another way to live. For years, I lived from the neck up, until I could no longer ignore the what was going on within my body.
Through somatic coaching, conscious movement, and trauma-informed practice, I found a way back to myself. Not through force, but through slowness. After trying to heal through yoga, talk therapy and energy practices, having space held for me to listen to the parts I had shoved down, was the missing piece in my journey.
I've trained in somatic counselling, yoga and embodied meditation. I truly believe that the power lives inside of you and I simply guide you back to it. Trying my best to provide a grounded, compassionate way of holding space for you.

Somatic coaching explained
Somatic coaching is a body-based approach to healing.
Unlike traditional talk therapy and regular coaching, which works primarily through the mind, somatic coaching invites you to gently reconnect with the wisdom of your body.
When we experience trauma, stress, or long-term emotional overwhelm, our nervous system adapts to help us survive - often by shutting down certain sensations, emotions, or instincts. We feel anxious without knowing why, stuck in old patterns, disconnected from ourselves, or numb to what we truly need.
Somatic coaching works by helping you slowly build safety inside your body - through breath, awareness, gentle movement, and supported emotional exploration.
In our sessions, we might explore:

Learning how to slow down and feel your emotions, bringing presence and curiosity to any sensations, stories or memories that arise

Working with your inner child to uncover past hurts

How to come back into your body safely, at your own pace

How your nervous system reacts - and how to regulate it

How to listen to your inner signals throughout each day
This approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and attuned to your personal pace. You will never be pushed to share more than you're ready for, or forced to revisit past pain before your body is willing.
Somatic coaching can take time, we will work to your needs and learn to understand the pace your body needs.
If you've tried talk therapy but still feel disconnected, somatic coachin might offer the deeper kind of support your system is asking for.
*Sessions & Pricing
Sessions are held online and in-person at Awa Corner, Frankton or online.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is a space for you to reconnect to your body, through gentle observation of what is happening beneath the surface.
Each session is unique to what you need, offering 1-1 somatic coaching, inner child guidance and 1-1 embodied movement.
*Session fee: $150
I offer one sliding scale place at a reduced rate for those with financial need. If this feels supportive to you, please mention it when you reach out.
